One to one appointments with your Subject Librarian 

• Students often request help with finding information sources for study or research, and advice when citing and referencing
• Staff often have enquiries about reading lists, journal subscriptions etc. and inviting their subject librarian to teach information skills in the curriculum

To support your own study or research

• Library borrowing
• Document Supply (including inter-library loans)
• Chapter digitisation

Each academic department has a cost centre fund allocated annually by the Library to pay for

• recurring subscriptions such as academic journals and databases (most of the fund)
• books to support research (until the annual allocation runs out)

If you are interested in a new journal or database subscription, contact your subject librarian for a quote in the first instance (approval from your department and the Library will be required before new subscriptions can be opened).

Students can request up to 5 titles a year for the Library if they are not already in stock.
