Microsoft 365 Email

Microsoft 365 gives you email, calendar, contacts, and OneDrive with 1TB storage. You can also download Microsoft Office for free. Check your email regularly at: outlook.aber.ac.uk
Immersive Reader: To make reading documents, emails and notes easier, Immersive Reader is available in Microsoft 365.With font, grammar, voice, focus and other settings you can customise and use in Word, Outlook and OneNote.

Wifi

Connect to the eduroam network using your mobile device or laptop. Use your email address and password.

If you forget your password

Don't panic! You can reset your password online: https://myaccount.aber.ac.uk/open/reset/ You need to answer the security questions first. Please contact us if you're having problems.

MS Teams

MS Teams is a communication tool that might be used by your tutors and other staff to contact you, run online sessions or ask you to collaborate on creating a document.

Equipment loans

AberLearn Blackboard

This is the University's Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) where lecturers share information, teaching materials and learning activities relating to your studies. 
You'll be able to login to Blackboard within an hour of activating your Aberystwyth University computer account . Your modules will appear when you have completed registration. Take a look at the Supporting your learning module to start.

Your Aber Card

Your Aber Card is your student ID card and is an important resource giving you access to a range of facilities and services, including:

  • the key to your accommodation
  • library borrowing
  • access to 24 hour computer rooms and library out of core hours
  • printing, photocopying and scanning
  • to register your attendance at lectures and seminars
  • the AU Students' Union
  • the Aber Sports Card
  • purchasing food and drink

Make sure you have applied for your Aber Card before coming to campus so it is ready for you when you arrive.

ApAber


ApAber is Aberystwyth University's mobile app. Integrated features include your lecture timetable, email, Primo and your Abercard balance. Available for Android and Apple iOS.

Printing & Photocopying


Combined printer/copier/scanners are available in locations across campus. You can log into any of them with either your username and password or Aber Card.
