What is a reading list?

A module reading list is usually a list of books and other information resources compiled by the module co-ordinator to support your study of a module.

Readling lists and Primo

You can see if a book you've found in Primo is on a particular module reading list as it will show this below the book title.

Click the READING LISTS button to see which module(s) the book is on - this will take you to straight to view the reading list in Aspire.

Where can I find my reading lists?

You can find and view your course reading lists via:

1. Blackboard 

2. Aspire

1. BlackBoard

You can find the reading list for a module you are studying in Blackboard.

  • Select Courses in the left hand side menu
  • Scroll through the modules and select the one you're looking for or
  • Type in the module code in the Search your courses option 
  • The Reading List will appear within the main Course Content page
  • Click on the Reading List (pile of books image) and the list of books will open in the Aspire Reading List system

2. Aspire

You can also view your lists directly in the Aspire Reading List system at aspire.aber.ac.uk  

Enter the module code and/or name in the search box and click the magnifying glass - your chosen reading will be displayed.
